Come December, there will be a laugh riot in the Tamil cinema world! The trailer of much anticipated film R. Kannan's "Settai", a remake of 2011 Hindi-English urban comedy "Delhi Belly", was launched online Saturday.
The film, which went on floors here in May this year, is scheduled to hit the screens December.
"Comedy always works well with south audience and we are confident of 'Settai' working well too," Dhananjayan Govind of UTV Motion Pictures, the film's producers, told IANS.
"Delhi Belly" featured Imran Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vir Das, and was loved by the youth for its bold dialogues and picturisation.
However, the Tamil film will be sans any offensive language to appeal to the family audience at large, said the makers.
The lead cast for the Tamil movie includes Arya, Santhanam and Premgi Amaren. Hansika Motwani and Anjali are playing the heroines, while veteran actor Nasser essays a role with a negative shade.
This will be Arya's second project with the UTV banner after "Vettai".
