CH awards to be conferred on Karan Thapar, Gopikrishnan, Rajendran
Well known media personalities Karan Thapar, J Gopi Krishnan and N P Rajendran will be conferred with the C H Mohammed Koya National Journalism Award at a function here on August 25.
Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan would present the award instituted jointly by C H Mohammed Koya Journalism Award Trust and the Calicut Press Club, (CPC) said a CPC release here today.
While Mr Thapar of 'Devil's Advocate' fame, The Pioneer's Gopi Krishnan, who unearthed the 2G Spectrum scam, will get a purse of Rs 1,11,111, Kerala Press Academy Chairman, Mathrubhumi Deputy Editor and Columnist Rajendran will get Rs 55,000, besides citations and mementos, it said.
Barkha Dutt, A G Noorani, S Jayachandran Nair, Rajdeep Sardesai, T J S George and Praful Bidwai had won the award earlier.
