Stalker threatens to kill Princess Diana's butler
A 51-year-old Bulgarian threatened to assassinate Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell and also his sons and brother, a media report said.
Slav Mitev, who made threatening calls to the butler, and also claimed to have kidnapped his wife Maria, has been ordered by a court to never again contact him, the Daily Express reported.
The Chester Crown Court heard Mitev, of Wood Green, London, twice threatened to set fire to the Burrell family's florist shop in Farndon, Cheshire.
He has been sentenced to a two-year supervision order after it was agreed he did not need to be detained in hospital.
The man was deemed not mentally fit to enter a legal plea, but a social services report suggested he be monitored by a social worker in London.
He must remain at his home address for the duration of the order.
Burrell said he was subjected to a number of calls that caused him real distress.
Diana's ex-aide said he knew no reason why Mitev launched his campaign in June 2011.
