Hockey Punjab selects 40 probables
Hockey Punjab, headed by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, selected 40 probables for coaching camp in preparation for Punjab's participation in the forthcoming second edition of the Hockey India Junior National Hockey Championship to be held at Lucknow from September 1 to 9.
The probables were selected during selection trials conducted by Hockey Punjab at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar today.
This information was given by Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Joint Secretary of Hockey Punjab. The member of Indian hockey team which took part in the London Olympics, Manpreet Singh is among the probables for the coaching camp. The coaching camp will start from August 21 at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar.
The selected players for the coaching camp are: Bikramjit Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Pandit, Parvinder Singh, Germanpreet Singh, Harjit Singh, Harpreet Singh, Gurjant Singh, Gurinder Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Varun, Baljinder Singh, Harjot Singh, Depinder Jit Singh, Gaganpreet Singh (All from Surjit Hockey Academy Jalandhar), Satbir Singh, Saurav, Hardeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Talwinder Singh (All from Punjab and Sind Bank), Sukhman Singh, Barkat Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Kamaljet Singh (All from Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar), Harsahib Singh (Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy Amritsar), Amritpal Singh, Karanbir Singh, Angrej Singh, Amandeep Singh (All Sports School Jalandhar), Gurjot Singh (DAV College Jalandhar), Gurjinder Singh ( Gurdaspur), Tarundeep Singh, Jatinder Singh (SAI Patiala), Lawrance (Sansarpur), Lovejot Singh (Kila Raipur), Sumanpreet Singh (Kapurthala) and Narinder Pal Singh ( Khadoor Sahib).
