Missy Franklin gets Olympic rings tattoo
Missy Franklin got inked up with the games' official logo recently to commemorate winning four golds at this year's event in London, joining other swimmers Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.
The 17-year-old revealed the Olympic rings, which are positioned on her right hip, on her Twitter account yesterday.
"All inked up! AHH! Can't believe it! My one and only!' she tweeted along with a picture of the design," the Daily Mail quoted her as tweeting.
Earlier this month she revealed on the Today show that she was considering getting the same design as fellow swimmers Michael Phelps, Brendan Hansen and Matt Grevers.
"Getting a tattoo has never been something I ever thought I would do, but this one just has so much meaning to it and it is really something that you have to earn," she said.
"It's an honor to have it," she added.
Her dad Dick obviously gave his seal of approval for the tattoo, telling Today: "This will be the only one, and she has earned it."
