Real estate businessman shot dead in Jalandhar

A real estate professional was shot dead by two unknown motorcyle borne youths this morning, police said.
They said the assailants fired two shots from a close range which proved fatal for Daljit Singh Multani(62).
The deceased was engaged in the business of real estate after he was retired from BSF two years back.
Police disclosed that Multani, received a call from unknown number following which he left for some place on Jalandhar-Pathankot national highway, officials added.
As soon he reached the Pathankot by-pass at 0700 hrs in his car, two motorcycle borne youths opened fire on him from the close range which proved fatal and he died on the spot.
The police of nearby station reached the spot and immediately sealed all the exit points of the city to nab the culprits.
