3 INLD leaders join Cong along with 39 workers

The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) received a setback today as its 42 activists, including three prominent leaders, of Pehowa constituency in Kurukshetra district joined the Congress.

A delegation of these INLD leaders, accompanied by Finance Minister Harmohinder Singh Chattha, joined the Congress in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Phool Chand Mullana here.

The three prominent leaders who joined the Congress were Surinder Pappu, Municipal Councilor, Pehowa, Narender Kumar Chhabra, Vice-President, INLD Urban, Pehowa and Krishan Sain, Pradhan, BC Cell, INLD, Pehowa.

Addressing the party worker,s Mr. Hooda said that with the joining of the Congress by these workers,the Congress would be further strengthened and full honour and respect would be given to those who joined the party.

Welcoming these workers, Mr Phool Chand Mullana said they had shown full faith in the progressive policies of the Congress government under the guidance of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Unprecedented development had taken place in the state during the last seven years of present state Government and it would continue in future, he added.
