Punjab directs departments to fill vacancies soon

The Punjab government today issued directions to various departments to take necessary steps to fill all vacant posts in their departments expeditiously.
An official spokesman said the recent Cabinet meeting had taken a decision to fill all vacant posts in Local Government department and Panchayati Raj Institutions without any delay.
The Cabinet also decided to fill all vacant posts in revenue generating and revenue spending departments immediately.
The spokesman said that all Financial Commissioner/ Principal Secretaries/Administrative Secretaries had been issued directions to take steps to fill all the vacant posts with immediate effect and send compliance report to the Cabinet branch for the information of Chief Minister.
