Two BSF men injured in training accident
Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were seriously wounded Tuesday after a hand grenade exploded at a firing range in Rajasthan's Jodhpur district during training, police said.
According to police, the incident took place at the BSF's Daijar firing range in the district, some 350 km from Jaipur.
"BSF constable Rajesh and head constable Ved Singh were participating in a routine exercise in the firing range. They were being trained in throwing hand grenades," said Mandor police station in-charge Kamal Singh.
"During preliminary investigation, it has come up that the grenade exploded earlier then expected. Both Rajesh and Ved Singh were standing side by side and sustained serious injuries on their hands and other parts of the body," said the officer.
Both were rushed to a hospital in Jodhpur where they are undergoing treatment, the officer said.
