Ramakrishna awarded FIDE by World Chess Federation
Principal of the Intel School of Genius(ISOG) Chess Academy A Ramakrishna has been awarded the title of Federation International Des Echecs (FIDE) from the World Chess Federation.
Secretary of the Academy Srinivas said the ISOG academy was providing free coaching for the talented chess players in the district and urged the municipal corporation authorities to allocate a period in a week in the municipal school to enable the academy for giving chess coaching to the young students.
He said Mr Ramakrishna had participated as a Deputy Arbiter in the International Tournaments which includes world Cup chess 2002, Hyderabad, Asian Individual championship 2005, Hyderabad, 4th Parsavnath International 2006 at New Delhi, ONGC Grand Masters tournament 2006, Hydeabad, Commonwealth Chess Champinship 2007, Mumbai,Asian Team Chess Championship 2008, Visakhpatnam and Vizag Grand Master international open 2011.
A large number of chess players and coaches and Director Sports, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Srinivasa Rao were also felicitated.
