Punjab directs all officers to create their e-mail IDs

The Punjab government has directed its all offices to create their e.mail IDs so that a system could be put in place for better correspondence between them.
According to a communique sent by General Administration department to all Financial Commissioners/Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries, all departments have been asked to create their e.mail IDs. Besides, mentioning of e.mail IDs in all official correspondence has also been made mandatory.
Statng this here today, an official spokesman said that an e.mail account/address of each department and further their all wings should created through Information Technology department and the said department should be contacted immediately for this purpose.
