Somali pirates release seven Pakistani sailors abducted two years ago
Somali pirates have released seven Pakistani sailors, who were taken hostage nearly two years ago, Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad has announced.
Ebad said no ransom had been paid for the release of the sailors, and added that only a million dollars had been paid on account of expenses.
The Dawn quoted him, as saying that the sailors would reach Karachi on Thursday at around 9:30 p.m.
The family members of sailors thanked the Governor, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
