Ex soldiers to observe Kargil anniversary

The Kerala State Ex-Services League (KSES) will observe 13th anniversary of the Kargil war victory day here on July 26.
Talking to media here KSES Kozhikode Chapter President Col N R R Varma said various programmes would be held to commemorate the occasion in association with different organisations.
The function would also witness felicitation of soldiers from the region who took part in the operation and the next of the kins of Kargil war martyrs, he said.
Senior Congress leader M K Raghavan, (MP), would inaugurate the event organised in association with the NCC Group, the Lions Club International and St. Alphonsa Group of Educational Institutions, he said.
A Kargil war victory flame would also be lit at the Mananchira square here in the evening by CPI (M) leader A Pradeep Kumar, (MLA), he said.
