Priest killed in Badalpur in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow, Jul 19 : Assailants lynched a priest of a Shiv temple in Badalpur village of Gautam Buddha Nagar district here last night.
Badalpur is the native village of BSP supremo and former UP chief minister Mayawati.
According to police, the assailants killed priest Lal Das at the Shiv temple situated inside the Sadopur jungle.
Police said the body of the priest was recovered from the rooftop of the temple while cash and other valuables including a silver idol were found missing.
The priest had been staying in the temple for the past 30 years.
Police have swung into action and search is on to nab the culprits.
