2 more die in rain related incidens ; monsoon fury unleashed

Jaipur, Jul 10 : Two people were electrocuted and three sustained grave injuries when lightning struck them in Pali district even as heavy rains reported from many places in Rajasthan during past 24 hours.

An official spokesman said that two oeioke were electrocuted and two youths and a woman were injured when lightning struck them in Sandia village in Pali district today.

The injured were admitted to a hospital in the nearby Sojat town.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who was on a tour to the district visited injured in the hospital.

With this, at least four people have so far died in rain related incidents in the state since onset of South West monsoon in the state last week.

Earlier, two youths were swept away in a swollen rivulet on outskirts of Kota.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains reported for a large number of places in the state, including Garhi(Banswara) 22CMs, Banswara(16CMs).

In Udaipur egion, rains have brought in spate Sisarama river-the main source of water to the historic Pichhola lake.

Breach in a rivulet in Dholpur also inundated several low lying pockets, a report said.
