Sangma meets Mlas and MPs in Goa for support
Panaji, Jul 10: Former Lok Sabha Speaker and NDA Presidential candidate Mr P A Sangma today thanked BJP and its supporting party mlas and MPS in Goa for their support.
The former Lok Sabha speaker also asked support from "All those. who had not made their mind as election is not fought on party symbol and no party can officially enforce any whip".
Mr Sangma, who was here in Goa for his campaign for the presidential polls, was talking to reporters in the presence of state chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, BJP National Spokesperson, Prakash Jawdekar, BJP state president and Health minister Mr Laximikant Parsekar, and North Goa MP Shripad Naik.
He thanked the BJP MLAS, its alliance partner Maharastrawdi Gomantak party, Goa Vikas Party and indepedenets MLAS for their support in the state.
Mr Sangma thanked Parrikar for his personnal presence at the time of filing of his nomination papers.
He also met MLAS of Regional parties and independent mlas in Goa.
Earlier, BJP National spokesperson Mr Jawdekar said that in all 14 parties were supporting Mr Sangma as their presidential candidate. which include national as well as regional parties and Independents.
Mr Jawdekar said so far Mr Sangma had covered Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, North-Eastern states, West Bengal and Goa and tomorrow he will visit UP and Jharkhand.
