All set to develop Lalru as most preferred Industrial hub:Joshi
Chandigarh, Jul 5: The Punjab Government has urged all departments to launch a coordinated action plan to develop Lalru in SAS Nagar District as most preferred Industrial hub in the country.
Industry and Commerce, Technical Education and Industrial Training, Minister of Punjab Anil Joshi today said that Punjab Government has created a investor friendly environment in the state by constructing world class infrastructure, assuring 24 hours power supply to upcoming industry besides providing many kind of incentives and concessions to investors for to set up their units in Punjab.
The minister has issued necessary direction to concerned departments to identify the suitable big chunk of land for that purpose. He assured that besides Power and Water connections Sewerage facilities would also be provided by the concerned departments within one month. Besides that the minister also assured that with an aim to facilitate the investors, change of land use (CLU) would be made easy. He said that electricity duty waiver to mega textile projects in Barnala District has been under examination.
The minister said that the Punjab Government was also contemplating in adopting Gujarat model for inclusion of spinning industry in the green belt.
Expressing confidence Mr Joshi said that Punjab was all set for Industrial boom in view of interests shown by various entrepreneurs to set up their industry in Punjab, he added.
