Kolkata, July 3 : Even as Asiad gold medallist runner Pinki Pramanik battles charges of being a male and raping a woman, a video purportedly showing the athlete completely naked and undergoing gender determination tests at a private nursing home has gone viral online.

The 29-second clip was reportedly circulated after Pinki underwent a gender verification test at a private nursing home in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal where she was taken following her arrest on June 14.

Pinki's counsel Tuhin Roy said the video called for the arrest of the people responsible for the video, terming it a "heinous" act. However he said no one from the athelete's family was available now to file a complaint.

The matter however will be raised before the court notice at the next hearing July 12, he said.

Pinki Pramani has already undergone gender determination tests in two different government hospitals but on both the occasions the tests were inconclusive.

Pinki had earlier undergone a gender verification test at Barasat district hospital. But due to lack of proper infrastructure there, the court directed SSKM to conduct the test again.

Pinki was arrested on June 14 and later produced in Barasat court during the day after being accused by a woman that the sprinter tried to rape her.

The woman alleged in her police complaint with the Baguihati police station said Pinki is actually a male.

She said the athlete was terrorizing her for long and had sex by falsely promising to marry her.

The woman in question has reportedly been abandoned by her husband following her proximity with Pinki.

Pinki, now 26, specialises in the 400 metres and 800 metres.

She is a national national 4400 metres relay team champion who also won silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, gold at the 2006 Asian Games, and gold at the 2005 Asian Indoor Games.

She completed at triple of gold medals at the 2006 South Asian Games, winning the 400 and 800 m events, as well as the relay.
