East's biggest education fair woos students

Kolkata, June 17 : West Bengal Higher Education Minister Bratya Basu inaugurated eastern India's largest education fair 'Eduquest' on Saturday.

The educational fair 'Eduquest', organized by Anandabazar Patrika and Saraswati Online.com India Limited started from June 16 and will continue till June 18 at Netaji Indoor stadium.

Inaugurating the fair, Basu said: "This is a time when the educational sector is booming.

It is high time to encourage entrepreneurs who want to contribute in the educational sector."

More than 100 institutes took part in this event including Punjab Technical University, NSHM Knowledge Campus College, and Amity Kolkata.

The fair offered a wide selection of courses ranging from academic to professional to vocational courses, including advertisement, banking, medicine, business studies, graphic designing and others, under one single platform.

Eduquest organized interactive sessions with eminent personalities.

Former Indian cricket captain Anil Kumble was present at the education fair to share his success story with the students on Saturday evening.

On Sunday morning versatile actor Boman Irani will be present at the event to interact with the students.

Eduquest also provided the platform for the students to interact directly with administrators and professors to know about the variety of educational programmes.
