There's more to Italian food than pizzas, pastas
New Delhi, June 4 : After delighting food lovers with mouth-watering cuisines from across the globe, FOX Traveller will now tantalize your taste buds with the Italian Food Safari.
"The much-awaited next feast in the Food Safari series, Italian Food Safari is a delectable celebration of Italian cuisine that goes beyond the regular pastas and pizzas," the channel said of the 13-part series that went on air Monday.
Food explorer Maeve O'Meara, along with legendary Melbourne chef Guy Grossi, get chefs and food lovers to unravel their secret ingredients. They discover the lesser-known aspect of Italian food presenting a variety like never before - from classic dishes to the most rustic home-style food.
"Their journey takes them through backyards full of abundant tomato and basil plants to cozy home kitchens where scrumptious dishes are served. Together they cook-up some delicious cotoletta, demonstrate how easy it is to make crostoli, taste the famous baccala mantecato and also present the perfect risotto," a channel statement said.
Debarpita Banerjee, Vice President, Marketing, Fox International Channels, said: "Food Safari has been one of our most successful shows, probably because it activates the taste, hunger and desire buds like no other food show does."
"And now we have Maeve and Guy taking us through Italy one dish at a time, in their signature style - very up close and personal. That's what we believe in FOX Traveller, beautiful journeys that evoke a certain desire in the viewer," Banerjee added.
