UP: Suspected terrorist arrested
New Delhi/Gorakhpur, Mar 22 : The Delhi Police on Friday said they have arrested a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist from Gorakhpur city in Uttar Pradesh.
The suspected terrorist, Liyakat Shah, has reportedly reveled that there were plans of terror strikes during Holi.
The Delhi Police's Special Cell on Thursday raided a guest house near Jama Masjid in New Delhi and recovered explosives and several AK-47 rifles.
According to reports, the raids were conducted on the basis of the information provided by Shah.
Shah has been sent to 15-day police custody.
"The suspected operative, along with others, had carried out recce for possible terror attacks at busy marketplaces during Holi," CNN-IBN reported quoting sources.
