Peshawar, Mar 21 : At least 12 people were killed in a car bomb blast at the Jalozai refugee camp in northwest Pakistan on Thursday, officials said.

More than 20 people were injured in the blast.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) official Abdul Haq told Dawn News that around 35 kilograms of explosive material was used in the attack.

The injured people were taken to the District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital in Noweshera district and Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, reports said.

No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

"The camp hosts internally displaced persons from the country's tribal areas," Dawn News said.
