Kashmir: 3 hurt in BSF convoy attack
Srinagar, Mar 21 : Three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were injured when militants attacked their convoy in Gulshan Nagar near Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city on Thursday, police said.
The militants fired on the convoy of 8th Battalion BSF when they were going from Baramulla town to Panthachowk camp, the police said.
The injured jawans, who were identified as Constables Hem Singh, Kalita and Saikia, were admitted to 92 Base Hospital of the Army at Badami Bagh cantonment area in Srinagar.
Earlier this month, five CRPF jawans were killed and 12 others, including four civillians, were injured as militants stormed into a camp of the forces in Srinagar's Benima area on Mar 13.
The two militants, who were dressed in cricket uniforms, were killed.
The militants threw grenades and fired indiscriminately after attacking the camp.
