Train-bus collision claims 1 life, 9 injured
Supaul, Mar 20 : One person was killed and nine were injured when a bus collided with a speeding train at unmanned railway crossing near Saraigarh on Saharsa-Forbesganj section under Samstipur division of East Central Railway today.
Senior Commercial Manager of Samastipur division M A I Humaiyu told mediapersons here that a speeding bus collided with a passenger train at unmanned railway crossing near Saraigarh.
One person died on the spot, while nine sustained injuries in the incident.
The deceased had not been identified so far, Mr Hmaiyu said, adding all the injured had been admitted to government hospital in Supaul.
A high level inquiry had been ordered into the accident, Mr Humaiyu said adding Divisional Manager of Samastipur Arun Mallik had rushed to the spot and was taking stock of the situation.
