Exam fear drives teen girl to suicide
Kannur, Kerala, Mar 19 : A 15-year-old girl student of class X of Naduvil High School, near Thaliparamba, allegedly committed suicide by hanging inside her house due to fear of writing SSLC examination. According to police, Anjali (15) of Naduvil hanged herself at around 0830 hrs before she was due to attend SSLC physics examination.
She apparently entered the room to wear her uniform after an altercation with her mother.
When she did not come out, her mother Sreelatha forced the door open and found her hanging.
Locals rushed her to a nearby hospital at Thaliparamaba but she died on the way.
The post-mortem was held at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. Police suspect Anjali committed suicide as she was afraid of facing the examination.
