Lady bug to safeguard women from attack
Kannur, Kerala, Mar 19 : An electronic device 'Lady Bug', a stun gun, has been developed to protect women from attackers by giving a shock to the assailants.
The device is like a mobile and can be easily handled by a woman. Only two pins would be projected that would give shock, when the lady switches the key.
Southern Electronics and Security Systems (SESS), a Thalassery based electronic company, has created the device.
The launch would be held here next week, although the announcement was made today by P K Pradeep Kumar, Managing director of SESS, the day the anti-rape bill was placed in Lok Sabha.
Mr Kumar told UNI the small plastic coated equipment would give
electric shock for about 30 minutes to the assailants.
