India seeks Egypt's active cooperation
New Delhi, Mar 20 : President Pranab Mukherjee said India has sought Egypt's active cooperation in building a genuinely representative global order.
Mukherjee hosted a banquet in the honour of President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mohamed Morsy at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mukherjee said that he is confident that the visit of the President of Egypt would be the beginning of a new era of enhanced cooperation and closer ties between India and Egypt.
He said at the international level, Egypt and India have worked together closely.
He said India is confident of Egypt's support and participation in revitalizing South-South cooperation, particularly in the Non-Aligned Movement and in the Group of 77.
"India seeks Egypt's active cooperation in building a genuinely representative global order," he said.
