The Stadel hosts cookery workshop

Kolkata, Mar 18 : The Stadel Hotel in Kolkata on Saturday arranged a one day cookery workshop namely 'Poorna Annapurna' to mark pre-Holi celebrations with enthusiastic women who came from different parts to participate here.

Present on the occasion was food writer and one of the pioneers of Public Relations in Kolkata and also the chairperson of the 'Poorna Annapurna' workshop, Rita Bhimani.

Right from Hariyali Rice cooked with green spinach, yellow Pan Potato Kebabs, White Beans Daal Maharani, and Tomato Concasse Sauce in red avatar to Cottege Cheese Portuguese, mixed with different colours brought out the real meaning of Holi at the grand cooking mania.

Rita Bhimani, being a food lover and taster told to IBNS, "I travel to different parts of the world a lot where I do not find my favourite Indian dishes all the time. But they prepare foods from their hearts."

"I have been to Australia recently and there people mainly have non-vegetarian food but exclusively they prepared vegetarian cuisines for me in such a colourful way with green blanch cabbage, or yellow 'Mug' that snatched my heart away."

Bhimani added, "After having 'Mug' I came to know it was nothing but our Indian moong daal. So, the mood is very important. Love, care and mood of work can simply win your heart."

With those grandeur delicacies, last feather in the cap was the chef's special yummy 'Choco Cup' and 'Leftover Cake' which was prepared in a hassle free way so easily retaining the pure essence of the desserts.

Narayan Chatterjee, the chief chef of the day told proudly, "Today we are revealing our secrets for the keen learners. Because, children at home love something vibrant and appetizing to get rid off the boredom of having the same foods all the time."

"I believe those mothers have got to know all our success mantras and surely are going to apply it for their loved ones on Holi, or anytime they want."
