Hyderabad, Mar 15 : Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislator Harish Rao today came down heavily on the Centre and the ruling Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh for allegedly 'betraying' the four crore Telanganities on the separate statehood issue.

Participating in the debate on the no-confidence motion moved by his party and the YSRCP in the House, he said though it is 'painful' to move the motion against the state government which was elected by people for five years to govern, there is no alternative for them as there was a 'crisis' in the state which was not there earlier.

Mr Rao said the problems of the people was increasing day-by-day under this inefficient Congress rule and the Telangana issue which is pending for decades was not solved by the Centre and the state government and added that the legislators were deserting the ruling party one after another and no one knows about the fate of this government.

"Hence, we have moved no-trust motion as the Kiran Kumar Reddy government has failed on all fronts," Mr Rao added.

The TRS is born for Telangana state, the TRS leader said and the party would not rest till the goal is achieved.

Stating that the demand of Telangana state is not a political demand and it is the desire of the people of the region who is fighting hard for many days with agitations going on, he said, adding the agitation is continuing as per the aspersions of the people as they want the telangana state.

He said the Telangana agitation and the region had history and alleged the Congress Party was 'cheating' the people on the Telangana issue.
