Kozhikode, Mar 15 : Homeo Post Graduate students in Kerala today threatened to go on a token stir in protest against what they said apathetic attitude of the Central Council of Homeopathy by delaying approval to the Kerala University Health Science-1st MD (Hom) Batch Examination 2013.

Talking to reporters here Kerala Homeo PG Intern Students Joint Action Council Chairman Abdul Wahab said even guide panel of the examination initially scheduled for January has not been approved so far.

Thesis work of the examination has also not been conducted as yet, he said.

Accusing the Council for delaying the process to protect interests of certain higher ups, he said according to the amended CCH Act which came to force with effect from March 2, 2012 students got admitted from last year were to get guides from their respective colleges.

But adequate teachers were not available in two medical colleges in the State -- Thiruvanthapuram and Kozhikode -- adversely affecting the students, he alleged.

These kind of attitude of the Council would jeopardise the functioning of the two institutions prompting the students to meet their 'vested interest' -- to seek admission to colleges outside the State, he said.

Also seeking stipend parity on par with other disciplines, he said the stir would be intensified if their demands were not meet immediately.
