More than 5,000 being recruited in Jammu Kashmir on fast track basis
Srinagar, Mar 15 : More than 5,000 unemployed youths are being recruited in different government departments in Jammu and Kashmir on fast track basis.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand yesterday said as many as 4500 and 581 posts have been referred for filling up on fast track basis to Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) and Public Service Commission (PSC) respectively.
Besides, 2,529 Masters, 2041 Lecturers and promotion of 81 Masters to Lecturer have been regularized while 325 shall be regularised shortly, he added.
The final seniority list of about 1,400 Senior Lecturers shall be issued soon, the Deputy Chief Minister told. He also said promotions to the level of 121 Principals, 24 Zonal Education Officers and 5 Joint Directors shall be affected soon.
The Deputy Chief Minister urged that new transfer policy shall be implemented and those serving in far-flung areas shall be recalled back.
He said that in future such tenure shall be limited upto one year only which would be compulsory for all except those having complicated health problems and fatal diseases.
He enjoined upon all the officers to supervise the under construction buildings so that the execution of construction works shall be expedited.
