Amethi to be at par with US: Rahul Gandhi
Amethi, Mar 15 : Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today said he wishes to convert Amethi at par with United States of America(USA).
"I want to make Amethi like US and want that people from here should venture out of the country to get international exposure," he said after laying the foundation stone for three National Highways(NH) roads in his constituency.
Stressing the need for the artisan of Amethi to market their products out of the country, the MP said now the area should mark its presence in the International market.
Union Surface Transport minister C P Joshi, who was also present on the occasion, announced to set up a National Motor Driving and Training Centre here.
Mr Gandhi along with Mr Joshi were in Amethi for two hours.
The foundation stones were laid for NH-931 Chilbila-Gaurigang, NH-931(A) Salon-Jais-Jagdishpur and NH-930(A) Rae Bareli-Jagdishpur-Faizabad road.
