UK assembly adjourned till Mar 19 amid BJP uproar
Dehradun, Mar 15 : The opposition Bharatiya Janta Party today continued its onslaught on ruling Congress demanding a CBI probe on alleged SIDCUL land deals scam and disrupted proceedings for second consecutive day of the budget session, forcing Speaker G S Kunjwal to adjourn the House till March 19.
The House was adjourned due to noisy scenes by opposition, first at 1007 hours till 1130 hrs, then at 1140 hrs till 1220 hrs, then extended till 1235 hrs and finally at 1250 hrs for the day. The next sitting will be on March 19.
BJP legislators, led by Leader of the Opposition Ajay Bhatt kept shouting slogans like ''Jabse aaya Bahuguna, corruption Badha Sau Guna'' (corruption risen hundred folds, since Bahuguna came) and gathered in the well of the House.
However, during the short spells of sitting the government managed to table five bills and make announcements about the bills passed in last session becoming Acts after the Governor's approval.
