CLP leader Tokheho submits resignation from AICC
Kohima, Mar 14 : Nagaland Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Tokheho Yepthomi has placed his resignation before the All India Congress Committee (AICC) following the party's dismal performance in the just-concluded Assembly elections.
The CLP leader is said to have owned moral responsibility for the poor poll results that saw the Naga People's Front (NPF) run to its third consecutive streak to power, leaving the Congress height shorter in more than 15 years.
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S I Jamir and Parliamentary Secretary to the CLP C Apok Jamir also confirmed on Tuesday that the CLP leader had placed his resignation before the AICC.
