Andhra Pradesh council adjourned without transacting business
Hyderabad, Mar 14: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council was adjourned for the day without transacting any business with the Opposition members obstructing the proceedings, demanding withdrawal of price hike on power charges.
As soon as the House met for the day, the TDP members rushed to the podium and raised slogans against the Congress government demanding roll back of the proposed hike in power tariff.
When there was no let up in the situation, Chairman A Chakarapani adjourned the House for the day.
