Woman fighting for life with 90 per cent burns in TN
Vellore, Mar 14: A 40-year-old woman was fighting for her life in the medical college hospital in Tamil Nadu, after she sustained 90 per cent burns in a major fire in her hut early today.
According to the police, the woman was sleeping along with three children, including her brother's son when the fire broke out.
The woman did not put out the fire woodoven before going to sleep the previous night. Sparks from the oven led to the fire.
The woman who sustained 90 per cent burns and the three children, who sustained 40 per cent burns, were rush to the hopsital for medical treatment.
However, the doctor treating them gave the woman very slim chances of survival. The woman's husband was employed as a mason in Chennai.
Police registered a case and are investigating.
