K M Mani to present Budget tomorrow
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 14: The Budget Session of the Kerala Assembly will begin tomorrow with the presentation of Budget for 2013-14.
This would be the 11th Budget Finance Minister K M Mani. The 16-day session would end on April 10.
The General Discussion on Budget would be held on March 18 and 19. The Vote on Account would be on March 21.
Meanwhile, Speaker G Karthikeyan held a meeting of the leaders of Opposition parties seeking their cooperation for smooth functioning of the current session.
Mr Mani holds the records of having presented the maximum number of budgets in the Kerala Legislative Assembly as Finance Minister and also as the longest-serving member of Kerala Assembly.
He holds the distinction of being the longest-serving Minister in the government of Kerala and having continuously represented from Palai Legislative constituency since its inception.
He is the MLA of Palai Legislative constituency for the last 48 years beginning from 1965. He is known for his political tactics as compared to veteran politician K Karunakaran.
