Left leaders take out 'chalo Assembly' rally on power issue
Hyderabad, Mar 14: Police arrested leaders of Left parties when they tried to take out a 'Chalo Assembly' rally from Old MLA quarters in protest against the hike in power charges.
The Left leaders began their rally from the MLA quarters in Hyderguda to the Assembly and were stopped by the police in mid-way. Police asked them to go back as there was no permission for the rally.
When the leaders did not heed to the advice of the police, they were arrested immediately.
Those arrested included CPI(m) Politburo Member B V Raghavulu, its senior leader P Madhu, CPI Andhra Pradesh Unit Secretary K Narayana and several party workers.
