Eminent environmentalist Prof Veer Bhadra Mishra dies
Varanasi, Mar 14: Eminent environmentalist Professor Veer Bhadra Mishra died, following a prolonged illness at Sir Sunder Lal hospital at Banras Hindu University here late last evening.
Mishra was 75. His last rites were performed at historic Harishchandra ghat on the banks of river Ganga today.
His mortal remains were brought from hospital and kept at Tulsi ghat, where a large number of policians, teachers, social workers and others paid their last tributes.
The environmentalist retired as a professor from the Civil Engineering department of BHU and dedicated his life for the cleanliness of river Ganga.
