CJM register complaint against Director RED over age row in UP
Lucknow, Mar 14: Chief Judicial Magistrate of Lucknow Rajesh Upadhyay has admitted a complaint filed by social activist Nutan Thakur related with age-row of Mr Uma Shankar, Director, Rural Engineering Department(RED) here today.
In his order the CJM has said the complaint filed by Ms Thakur stands eligible to be registered as a case and hence, the case shall be registered as a complaint under Section 200 CrPC.
The CJM has fixed March 29 next as the next date of hearing for recording statements.
Based on a report by Hari Shankar Pandey, Special Secretary, RED, Ms Thakur in her application had alleged that Mr Uma Shankar got his service records vanished and thus his age got reduced by six years with change of his Date of Birth from October 25, 1951 to October 25, 1957.
In his nine page report sent to Sanjeev Dube, Principal Secretary, RED, Mr Pandey had said that Mr Shankar colluded with Shahjade Lal, Joint Secretary, Harendra Veer Singh, Special Secretary and others in this criminal offence for his illegal gain of getting six years additional government service.
On the basis of these facts, Ms Thakur had presented a FIR before the Gomtinagar police station and then to SSP Lucknow.
When the FIR was not registered, she had filed a complaint before the CJM.
