Ralph Waters appointed new 2015 World Cup chairman
Sydney, Mar. 14 : Following the death of James Strong last week, Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket have appointed Ralph Waters as chairman of the organising committee for the 2015 World Cup.
Waters, a prominent New Zealand businessman, was previously deputy chairman and replaces Strong, who died in Sydney aged 68 from complications following surgery, reports News.com.au.
Waters said James was determined to put on a truly world class tournament in 2015. Waters said he shares James' vision and will work closely with the International Cricket Council, Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket to deliver a successful tournament for cricket fans around the world..
The World Cup takes place in Australia and New Zealand in February-March 2015.
