Fraudster Bitty taken to R'than
Kannur, Mar 12 : A special SIT team took imposter Bitty Mohanty to Jaipur this evening by Mangala Lakshwadweep superfast train from Pazhayangadi railway station.
The SIT squad led by Thaliparamba Circle Inspector A V John would reach New Delhi on thursday afternoon. From there they would travel to Jaipur by train.
A four-member team of Rajasthan Police led by Sambath Singh would also accompany them on the same train.
The Jaipur police team submitted the production warrant before the Payyanur JFCM this morning, Thaliparamba DySP K S Sudharshan said.
SIT will scientifically collect the evidence relating to Bitty Mohanty from Jaipur in their bid to prove that Kerala police had arrested Raghav Rajan, who is indeed Bitty.
SIT would question him to prove his impersonation as well as three other cases registered against him by Pazhayangadi police on March 9.
SIT has also conducted a medical examination today on Bitty and interrogated him along with Rajasthan police at Payyanur circle ofice, yesterday. Lalkothi insepctor Hemanth Chander, who had earlier arrested Bitty, in 2006, identified him at Payyanur station.
