Aerospace Safety Council meeting held
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 12 : The Southern Air Command Annual Aerospace Safety Council Meeting was held at Air Force Station here today.
The meeting was presided over by Air Marshal RK Jolly, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, a press release said. Air Marshal PP Reddy, Director General (Inspection & Safety) Air Headquarters covered the measures that have been initiated which have led to improvement in aerospace safety and action plan to further improve this important area.
Representatives from Air Headquarters, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Indian Navy also participated in the discussions.
Air Marshal RK Jolly, addressed the delegates stressing upon the essentials of Aerospace Safety and important role of professional leadership at all levels.
Some of the areas highlighted by him included ensuring a safe environment, developing of knowledge base expeditiously with respect to new inductions, training of air warriors & effective supervision to minimise accidents.
