Sarpanch shot at, villagers turn furious
Shiohar, Mar 12 : Local people turned furious when criminals opened fire on a Sarpanch at Bhorha village under Shyampur Bhataha police station area in the district today.
Police said here criminals opened fire on Sarpanch Nank Kishore Rai causing serious injuries to him at Bhorha village. The injured Sarpanch was admitted to Shree Krishana Medical College Hospital in Muzaffarpur.
Turned furious over the attack on Sarpanch, local people blocked the movement of traffic on NH-104 to vent their ire. Soon after receipt of the incident, police superintendent Naveen Chandra Jha reached on the spot with contingent of additional forces.
The blockade was cleared following police resorting to lathicharge to disperse the unruly mob, police further added.
