Nagaland CLP greets new Governor Ashwani Kumar
Kohima, Mar 12 : The Nagaland Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and MLA Tokheho Yepthomi has congratulated Ashwani Kumar, former CBI Director, on being appointed as Governor of Nagaland.
In a statement, Mr Tokheho on behalf of the party, has expressed hope that Mr Kumar, would bring about 'radical change' in the state.
He said the people of the state were privileged by Mr Kumar's appointment and exuded confidence that Nagaland, which was 'deeply mired in corruption and nepotism.' would see radical changes during his gubernatorial tenure. Mr Kumar's vast experience would be beneficial to the people of Nagaland,he said and wished him success in the new assignment. Mr Yepthomi also expressed gratitude to outgoing Governor Nikhil Kumar, who had a very successful tenure as Governor of Nagaland since his appointment on October 15, 2009.
