Woman commits suicide
Thane, Mar 12 : A 57 year-old woman, who was keeping ill since the last seven years, ended her life at Kopri in the city, police said today.
Shaila Kashinath Patil, had developed complications due to failure of both her kidneys for which she had to undergo dialysis twice in a week.
The woman went to the terrace of her four-storeyed building on Sunday in Kopri locality on the eastern part of the city and leaped to death.
The watchman of the building found the woman lying dead in a pool of blood and informed her family members.
The Kopri police have registered a case of suicide against the woman and have initiated investigations, the body has been sent to the Thane civil hospital for post-mortem, police said.
