Argentina blasts pointless referendum over Falkland Islands in UK

London, Mar. 13 : Argentinean President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner's government has blasted the vote in Britain over Falkland Islands, saying it is 'pointless' and has no validity in law.

Alicia Castro, the Argentine ambassador to London, said that "it is a referendum between British inhabitants, organized by the British, to say that they want the territory where they live to be British', the Daily Star reports.

According to the report, Castro said that they respect their identity. And also respect that they want to continue being British, but the territory they live in is not British.
