India's Feb Consumer Price Inflation at 10.91pc
New Delhi, Mar 12 : India's annual consumer price inflation (CPI) rose to 10.91 percent in February from the previous month's 10.79 percent, according to official data on Tuesday.
Provisional annual inflation rate based on all India general CPI (Combined) for February 2013 on point to point basis (February 2013 over February 2012) is 10.91% as compared to 10.79% (final) for the previous month of January 2013.
The corresponding provisional inflation rates for rural and urban areas for February 2013 are 11.01% and 10.84% respectively. Inflation rates (final) for rural and urban areas for January 2013 are 10.79% and 10.73% respectively.
The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation releases Consumer Price Indices (CPI) on base 2010=100 for all-India and States/UTs separately for rural, urban and combined every month with effect from January, 2011.
India's Statistics and Programme Implementation Minister Srikant Kumar Jena said the provisional annual inflation rates of February 2013 for rural, urban and combined in respect of 'food and beverages' are 13.53%, 13.87% and 13.73% respectively.
