Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises
New Delhi, Mar 6 : The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published on Wednesday by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to USUSD 107.19/barrel (bbl) on Mar 5.
This was higher than the price of US$ 106.34/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of Mar 4.
In rupee terms, the crude oil price increased marginally to Rs 5857.93/bbl on Mar 4 as compared to Rs 5854.02/bbl on Mar 4.
This was due to price increase in dollar terms as rupee appreciation moderated the increase.
The rupee-dollar exchange rate on Mar 5 was Rs 54.65/US$ against Rs 55.05/US$ on previous trading day of Mar 4.
