Make stance clear on sleaze charge: Pinarayi
Kozhikode, Mar 5 : The Communist Party of India (Marxist), heading the Opposition left Democratic Front in Kerala, today urged Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to come out with his stance on sleaze charge against his cabinet colleague K B Ganesh Kumar levelled by Government Chief Whip P C George a few days ago.
Talking to reporters here, Party State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said it appeared that Mr Chandy was keeping mum despite knowing facts behind the allegation.
Minister Ganesh Kumar has no right to continue in office if the charge is substantiated, he said.
Similarly, Mr P C George should be shown the door if the charges levelled against the Minister were proved wrong, he added.
Chief Whip George had alleged Mr Ganesh Kumar was roughed up by husband of a woman who allegedly had extra marital affair with the latter.
Denying the allegation, Mr Ganesh Kumar had said personal grudge against him prompted the Chief Whip to make such comments.
